These seemingly random numbers associated with pho restaurants often go unnoticed as we knock back our favorite bowl of it, but they hold more value than you might expect at first glance. 

So, why does this phenomenon exists?

We wanted to know the deal, so our very own Reach Guinto cruised over to Orange County’s Little Saigon, and called up two friends: longtime Little Saigon resident and owner of The Leverage Showroom Chris Ngo as well as Connie Aboubakare, who runs a popular Instagram page focused on Vietnamese cuisine.
