Wendy’s Got Savagely Owned By The Oakland A’s On Twitter

Wendy’s Twitter account tries its darndest to be witty and stay up to date with pop culture. They even do a nice job at clapping back at trolls  and winning over the internet, but this time they had to graciously take an “L.”

Wendy’s tried being funny with a played out “3-1 Golden State Warriors” meme, and everyone got a good chuckle, as they posted a carefully constructed joke about the inevitable NBA Finals Champions.

Then the Oakland A’s Twitter account came in to defend their Nor Cal friends, saying, “We’d eat Wendy’s for lunch.”

Wendy’s swiftly clapped back by saying, “At least your lunch would be a win.”

Then the A’s dropped the mic with, “One thing we have in common: we both give people runs.”

BOOM!

They took the Eminem in 8 Mile approach by making fun of themselves and their sub-par season, while at the same time delivering an even harsher burn to Wendy’s.

Wendy’s didn’t respond back. Someone actually got the Wendy’s Twitter account to shut up. There was nothing it could say, either. It would be like Meek Mill’s response to Drake’s Back to Back diss. Yeah, Meek responded, but it was too late, because the burn was too deep.

We’re sure Wendy’s will get back on its feet, but one thing’s for sure, whoever’s running the Oakland A’s social media is way more savage than whoever’s running the Wendy’s social media.
