Wendy’s Is Using A Ghost Pepper Sauce In Their New Chicken Sandwich And Fries
Wendy’s has announced two new menu items that sound like they’re taking the spicy food game pretty seriously. The new Jalapeño Fresco Spicy Chicken Sandwich and Ghost Pepper Fries, incorporate the use of, you guessed it, the infamous ghost pepper.
Kind of.
Wendy’s Jalapeno Fresco Spicy Chicken Sandwich is made with an all white meat chicken breast, diced jalapeños, a ghost pepper sauce, Colby Pepper Jack cheese, crunchy red onion and a melted cheese sauce. It’s packed between a red jalapeño bun.
The fries are drenched in a cheese sauce and topped with diced jalapeños, shredded cheese and a ghost pepper sauce.
While both items feature a ghost pepper sauce, we won’t see chunks of the actual pepper in the menus. It’s still pretty bold of Wendy’s to test the insanely hot pepper as an ingredient, however. Maybe actual chunks of the ghost pepper will be dangerous in a fast food kitchen.
The sandwich can be purchased for $4.99 and fries for $1.99.
