Watch This Rubber-Coated Watermelon Fall 150-Feet And Not Break
We’ve written extensively about people fusing food and electronic devices — like iPads and cellphones — together, then dropping them from rooftops to see if the DIY “food case” will protect the device inside. Most of the time it doesn’t work, but it’s still fun to watch.
Recently, the YouTube channel, How Ridiculous performed its own experiment when your everyday, run-of-the-mill watermelon was coated in a “magic rubber spray” called “Line X” — an industrial strength coating — and tossed off a 150-tower. The results are pretty surprising.
Additionally, to prove it was an actual watermelon, these guys used a table saw to split the juicy fruit open.
It actually looks like the watermelon had separated from the rind, so if you have trouble hollowing out your next watermelon, just give it a nice easy toss.
