Portland Pastry Icon Voodoo Doughnut Has Arrived In Los Angeles

For the longest time, tales of Voodoo Doughnut’s infamously long lines and ultra-decadent offerings have intrigued all tastebuds outside of their seven locations across the globe. But for the fortunate denizens of Los Angeles, they too, can now partake in the sweet allure of Voodoo’s creative doughnuts.

Now open at the Universal CityWalk, the famous Portland transplant is here to entice all who get a whiff of their sweet creations, drawing them into even the longest of lines just for some satisfying relief within Voodoo Doughnut’s fluorescent pink walls.

Voodoo Doughnut first garnered their notoriety by slanging either the most controversial iterations of a doughnut (think the “Cock-N-Balls” doughnut) to the tastiest (think a Cap’n Crunch cereal-topped “Captain my Captain” doughnut). That should give you an idea of the madcap creativity that’s captured appetites as far flung as Taipei City, Taiwan — the site of their only location outside the U.S.

Be on the look out for extended hours and an opening shindig coming soon, Angelenos.
