Van Leeuwen Partners With Netflix For An Onion-Flavored Ice Cream

Van Leeuwen has done it again. The polarizing flavor of the month: onion ice cream! Now this can either be absolutely delicious or absolutely disgusting. Would you eat it?

In partnership with Netflix, Van Leeuwen is bringing us an all-new mystery flavor in celebration of the new Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery film premiering December 23.

The ice cream brand, who’s known for past off the wall flavors, has created their most killer flavor yet (pun intended) – “a flavor that takes your taste buds on as many twists and turns as the movie itself” – their words, not mine.

So, is there really pieces of onion in this ice cream pint? Well, not exactly. The latest offering features Van Leeuwen’s signature vanilla ice cream, Greek yogurt (because the movie takes place in Greece), pineapple honeycomb candy that resembles a “glass-like crunch,” according to Kate Hudson in this taste test, and a bourbon and caramelized onion jam swirl.

Ahead of the movie hitting TV screens, you can taste the ice cream (we suggest by the scoop first) at Van Leeuwen locations in New York City and Los Angeles, as well as online for nationwide shipping at https://vanleeuwenicecream.com/.

Netflix and Van Leeuwen is also giving away free mystery scoops in LA on December 16th at the Glass Onion Live Experience and in NYC on December 23rd in Union Square.
