Quickly Turn Plain Peanut Butter Pop-Tarts into Bacon Elvis Tarts

Half the charm of Pop-Tarts comes from the frosted glaze that covers practically every bite. Therein lies the problem with Peanut Butter Pop-Tarts which feature none of that deliciously sugary frosting. Nick from DudeFoods knows this all too well and felt something should be done to remedy the fact.

Not one to take things the way they are, he got to thinking of a way to upgrade his boring Peanut Butter tart into something with a bit more flash. Obviously with DudeFoods, it just has to involve bacon in some form or another.

Enter the Elvis theme of peanut butter, banana and bacon. Combining 1/2 a banana, a tablespoon of butter, 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, Nick whipped up a quick banana glaze. The chef then simply topped it off with strips of bacon.

No more plain looking Pop-Tarts.
