Tillamook Is Giving Away A Boatload Of Cheese

I’ve always given all my attention to my favorite food holiday, National Pizza Day—which, let’s be honest, is hardly an excuse since I celebrate pizza pretty much year-round. Maybe it’s the distraction of Valentine’s Day, but somehow, I completely overlooked National Cheddar Day. Now I know that every year on February 13, the rich, tangy goodness of cheddar gets its moment to shine. And this year, Tillamook is making it even bigger with a contest that gives one lucky winner a boatload of cheese. Consider me officially on board for this celebration.
Until February 20, Tillamook is accepting entries to award one cheddar enthusiast the opportunity to win 1,909 pounds of Tillamook cheese – figuratively speaking, that’s helluvalot of cheese. However, the contest isn’t just about honoring National Cheddar Day, really, it’s a nod to the brand’s 116 year legacy.
Tillamook County Creamery Association, the farmer-owned cooperative, has been delivering rich and natural dairy products to consumers since 1909. “Generations of dairy fans have fueled our passion for delivering premium cheddar, and that’s why we are going overboard this year by gifting a literal boatload of cheese,” said Kate Boltin, Executive Vice President of Marketing at TCCA.
Taking that into account, it now makes sense how they figured out the perfect amount of cheese to give away. It’s a clever campaign, and it doesn’t stop there. Tillamook goes even further by offering the first 15,000 people who enter the contest a free cheese coupon worth up to $6.00—enough to almost snag a 16oz block of Tillamook cheddar, depending on where you’re located and the retailer.
To try your luck to win a colossal amount of cheddar cheese that we don’t know what you’d do with, visit www.tillamook.com/boatload-of-cheese for a chance to win.
