This New Starbucks Location Was Built Out of Shipping Containers
Give it to Starbucks on this one. They’ve put together a new drive-through location in Tukwila, Washinton, entirely of shipping containers. Green much?
The structure is made of four shipping containers, designed by in-house architects and is home to 448 square feet, a similar size to standard stores with room for three baristas to maneuver behind the counter. The storefront is LEED-certified, and symbolizes Starbucks’ efforts to continuously increase the sustainability of their stores and highlight reductions in both environmental and operating costs.
I’ve always been a fan of these renovated shipping container build outs. How would you all feel if more of your favorite brands started putting together new storefronts built from these containers?
