These Are Some Of The Worst Food Delivery Horror Stories
Long before food delivery services became wide-spread, thanks in part to the unfortunate pandemic, pizza arrived at your doorstep cold and bags were handed over with items missing from the order. The list of food delivery horror stories is endless. Maybe it’s receiving bad tips or due to lazy service, receiving your order on time and safely with all items intact can be rare.
In honor of crossed fingers and extra tipping in hopes of landing the rare perfect delivery, we wanted to make a list of some of the worst food delivery horror stories. Some are frustrating, others are hilarious and jaw-dropping, but each of us has probably experienced something similar at some point.

In what’s probably hilarious to read, but awful to experience, a Deliveroo driver gets a taste of the food they were sent to pick up, only to find it too “testy” to complete the delivery. Rudeness aside, “i eat this,” is one of the funniest replies ever.

Food delivery apps are known for having strange policies, almost as if they were made specifically to frustrate people. UBEREats for example makes it nearly impossible to dispute issues with your order. This Twitter account called @UberEatsSux is filled with angry tweets about the restrictive food delivery app.

In terms of best service, UBEREats ranked first while PostMates landed in last place. Despite their ranking, you’ll find no shortage of bad reviews for each platform.
With new technology on the horizon, the food delivery industry is set to change. You may have seen automated robots rolling down your city’s sidewalks recently. Time will tell if they do a better job than us at getting the delivery experience right.
