The +/- Plate

What do you do if you if you have to go to the bathroom midway through your meatloaf brick, and you know you’re going to be awhile? Your meatloaf is gonna cool off right? Wrong, if you’re designers Ami Drach and Dov Ganchrow. These two designers put their heads together and created a warming plate. This plate has “silk-screened gold and amorphic metal films” on the surface, which enables 12V of energy to plug into your plate and keep it warm. James over at RegHardware says, “It’s even said to be able to get hot enough to cook an egg on.” There’s no word on whether this plate is set to be released or not, but it’s a novel idea nonetheless.
