The English Approve: Tea Bag Cookies

Like napkins and saltine crackers, I used to hoard shortbread cookies as a kid. I would collect them from holiday gift baskets and coffee shops, stuffing them in my pocket and saving them for a rainy day while reading Archie Comics. Long story short: These Shortbread Tea Bag Cookies are where it’s at.

Along with a stroke of nostalgia, these clever cookies by Party Frosting offer a whimsical twist to a classic treat. The recipe is simple enough: Whip up some shortbread dough, cut out tea bag shapes (template here), bake ’em, dip them in melted chocolate, then wait for them to cool down before eating.

Naturally, pairing these sweet delights with a cup of hot tea is absolutely necessary. Unless you’re dipping them into coffee, because coffee > tea.
