Tequila Used to Make Diamonds?
Pending more credible sources, it has been brought to our attention that a team of Mexican scientists have been able to create a film of diamond through the heated vapor of 80-proof tequila (40% alcohol). Researcher Luis Miguel Apátiga says, “There is no doubt; tequila has the exact proportion of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atoms necessary to form diamonds.” Whether this is going to go over well with the rest of the world is yet to be determined, but if this experimentation is indeed indicative of the tequila’s diamond-inducing qualities, this explains why I feel like a baby kitten caught in a garbage disposal the night after drinking any sort of tequila.
