This Chicken Tender Festival Has Culinary Icons Battling to See Who Makes the Best Chicken Tender
Don’t ever put boneless wings and chicken tenders in the same sentence. Chicken tenders are a prime and worthy alternative to bone-in chicken. Boneless wings are not only an oxymoron but a huge marketing scam. They are not the same.
That’s why it’s appropriate to have a whole food festival dedicated to chicken tenders. Enter TenderFest Part II, the second iteration of TenderFest that will be showcasing Los Angeles’ best in chicken tender excess.
The celebration will feature the city’s crispiest and juiciest tenders, with the likes of Willie Mae’s, Raising Cane’s, Howlin’ Rays (VIP), Delilah, Original Dino’s Famous Chicken, GoGo Bird, Daring and more showing off their best. Beyond the showcase of chicken tenders is a battle between culinary heavyweights, the ‘conTENDER competition’.
Returning champ Chef Tim Hollingsworth will defend his reign against Chef Gregorio Stephenson of Nobu Restaurant, award-winning celebrity chef Nyesha Arrington, and social media sensation Chef Tway Nguyen.
Tender Fest Part II is going down on Saturday, August 20, at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, California from 12pm to 8pm. Early Bird general admission for unlimited tenders and 2 drink tickets is available now and priced at $50; while an early bird $120 VIP ticket provides free food and drinks; specialty event merchandise, access to a dedicated lounge with additional food items; and access to use the site’s valet.
Cop tickets now on Eventbrite. Tickets will increase in price (GA: $75, VIP $175) as the event date approaches.
