Taco Bell Tests New Chile Crisp Chicken Items At One Location

Taco Bell said that fans are demanding more chicken options and because of it, the taco chain is testing new chicken items including the Chile Crisp Chicken Taco and Chile Crisp Chicken Strips.

As you know, there is always a catch. The two new chicken menu items are only being tested at one location in Newport Beach, CA, and it’s only for one week, while supplies lasts. Taco Bell is truly making fans work for it.

So, are these new menu items to worth the buzz? Here’s what we know:

  • Chile Crisp Chicken Tacos: A crispy chicken strip smothered in the all-new Chile Crisp Sauce, topped with spicy ranch, fresh lettuce and shredded cheddar cheese layered on top of a warm flour tortilla. Two tacos per order for $4.99.

  • Chile Crisp Chicken Strips: Layered in the signature Chile Crisp Sauce, the Chile Crisp Chicken Strips are the perfect dippable item with a side of spicy ranch. Three strips per order for $4.99.

  • The Chile Crisp Sauce: A sweet, spicy and citrusy sauce packed with flavorful bits of Anaheim, ancho and guajillo chili peppers, garlic, lime and other hints of aromatics.

This chicken-centric menu shouldn’t be a surprise, as last year, Taco Bell introduced a Cantina Crispy Chicken lineup. What chicken item were you hoping to hit the menu?
