Supermodel Kate Upton is the New Face for Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s Southwest Patty Melt

Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s brands always have a knack for picking spicy leading ladies for their promotional efforts. In regards to promoting their new Southwest Patty Melt, the scenario is no different. Introducing supermodel Kate Upton, Sports Illustrated’s 2011 Swimsuit Edition Rookie of the Year and AskMen.com’s #2 Most Desirable Woman this week.

Kate joins an impressive list of previous Carl’s Jr. commercial talent, including Kim Kardashian, Padma Lakshmi, Paris Hilton and Audrina Patridge. Her commercial will be airing later this month, and was filmed in Los Angeles this past weekend.

The burger she’s holding is a Southwest Patty Melt consisting of spicy Santa Fe sauce, grilled onions, pepperjack cheese and jalapenos on a unique flavored burger on a toasted sourdough bun. All Hardee’s restaurants will be offering the new burger starting February 20th and at Carl’s Jr. restaurants starting February 22nd.
