Strawberry- and Lemon-Flavored Hot Dogs Should Not Exist, Yet They Do

Lemon-Strawberry-Hot-Dogs

Somewhere in Japan, specifically in the Tochigi Prefecture, exist fruit-flavored hot dogs. No, it’s not those gummy snacks made to look like fruit. They’re actual, savory, pieces of processed mystery meat with an additional kick of fruit flavor. Now we’re the last to knock such a bold combination, but we shudder at the thought of biting into one of these.

Reports say that the wieners have a slightly milky taste with a stronger sweetness. Though we’d have to try them before passing our final judgement. Sweet and savory usually works, right?

The hot dogs can be found in the Hasuda Service Area near Saitama City. They’re available for 200 yen each ($1.77 US).

Anyone want to ship us some?
