STFU About Bacon! [VIDEO]
We’ve been delivering food news for over 3 years now, and we’ll be honest, some of the highest trafficking articles over the years involve the crazy things people do with bacon. Bacon everything. Bacon on your burgers, bacon on your sushi, bacon cologne, bacon lube, bacon on your food truck, bacon on bacon, bacon vodka, bacon weaves…just. SHUT. THE F%*K UP.
Bacon will be a talking point for years, it always has been, and always will be. For our cause — in the spirit of expanding palates, taking people on adventures with food and commenting on the trends, it’s time to say something, if enough hasn’t been said already.
Gawker‘s Brian Moylan coined a great article late last year about bacon, and how everyone should simply shut up about it. This is an expansion on the matter. A co-sign on the idea that the world knows bacon tastes good. We know that breathing air is conducive to living, we know that 90s were cool, and we know that you found out about the dubstep genre before anyone else.

You don’t have to be a scientist to know that bacon isn’t the healthiest food on the market, but we’re not preaching health here. Just a little moderation. A little growth in the food genre. A little less fraternity bonding over a strip of meat that came from an animal that spent the majority of its lifespan shitting on itself and eating out of a trough.
Bacon is delicious though, so in all frankness, we have very little idea what we’re trying to say. Maybe it’s us who should shut the F*%! up. Until then, irony is bliss and ignorance is bacon. Or something like that.
