Starbucks Japan Has Clear, Frozen Dumplings, aka Frappuccino Nuggets

From cookie-filled frappuccinos to creamy lemon lattes, Starbucks treats overseas are making us jealous. This is particularly true with their dessert dumplings, once again hitting Chinese stores this summer.

Offered since 2009, these Dragon Dumplings are a play on the traditional Chinese dish zongzi, usually served during the country’s annual Dragon Boat Festival. The Starbucks versions are a mixture of shaved ice with tea, coffee or fruit flavors, all stuffed into a clear dumpling. So they’re basically frozen frappuccino nuggets. This summer, the flavors include Green Tea and Red Bean, Coffee Almond, Mango, Strawberry and Cream, and Earl Grey Jelly.
