Baker Stuns The Internet With Dazzling Stained Glass-Inspired Bread
One of the greatest contributions social media has given us is the ability for everyday home chefs to share their unique culinary creations. The massive influx of food content available nowadays is actually spurring innovation. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, your timeline hits you with an inventive take on pastries that blow you away.
Instagrammer itsholly (or simply known as Holly) knows a thing or two about inventive pastries. In a recent post, she cleverly uses ingredients of various colors to create bread that looks like a stained glass window. The results are beautiful and will make you immediately want to taste or try making it at home.
To recreate the stained glass-look, Holly used vanilla bean milk bread dough as the base and colored separate batches with beet root powder, açaí powder, red-fleshed dragonfruit juice, ube extract, and charcoal powder. Taking the separate batches, Holly flattened and then rolled each into tube shapes. She then organized them neatly into the baking tray and popped it into the oven.
The result was a vibrantly multi-colored loaf of bread that looks more like art than something edible. While no specific recipe was provided for it, a quick peruse of Holly’s instagram reveals a penchant for baking aesthetically pleasing treats.
Her stained glass bread is just one of countless colorfully creative baking treats she shares on her account.
