SPOTTED: $1 French-Fry Stuffed Burger at Burger King

Looks like Burger King is going “Monkey Style.”

As McDonald’s makes an aggressive push for its Dollar Menu, Burger King attempts to keep up with its latest $1 “French Fry Burger” offering. The burger is a relatively nouveau item for the BK chain and features a standard beef patty topped with four fries, weighing in at 360 calories and 19 grams of fat.

Burger King says that the new item will be available September 1 through the fall, as it hopes to boost sales and garner customer interest with their new value-friendly items.

“McDonald’s in particular has stepped up advertising for its Dollar Menu, which now features its Grilled Onion Cheddar Burger and a more substantial McDouble, which has two patties and a slice of cheese,” the AP writes. “That forced Burger King and Wendy’s to adjust their tactics earlier this year to stress value more clearly as well.”

The above photo was spotted by Foodbeast reader Josh Huckabee at a Burger King in Cypress, California. Huckabee notes that although he hasn’t seen it at any other location, he hopes McDonald’s will strike back with a hash brown-stuffed breakfast sandwich. If that ever happens, consider our minds “officially blown.”
