Chips Ahoy isn’t afraid to break out new flavors, as evident when they tried a limited edition “Hot Chocolate” flavor last year, and they’re at it again this year with a new S’mores-flavored cookie.
Like the old Hot Chocolate flavor, the S’mores cookie has marshmallow chips, and it is recommended to heat them up in the microwave for about seven seconds so that the gooey, “choco fudge” center melts.
Along with the S’mores are coming some Red Velvet-flavored Chips Ahoy. The red cookies are filled with cream cheese-flavored chips and also have a gooey center that requires some heating to reach its full potential.
Nabisco didn’t disclose a wide release date, but they have been spotted at Target, and they’re promoting the cookies by saying , “Turn summer into SUMMER with new Chips Ahoy!” so they should be available everywhere soon. Maybe they’ll do a surprise midnight release like Beyonce does with her albums.
