Metal Shavings Force Skippy To Recall Over 100 Cases Of Peanut Butter
Skippy peanut butter made a bit of a boo boo this weekend, accidentally shipping out product that potentially had metal shavings in it.
According to AP, Hormel Foods is recalling 153 cases of Skippy’s 16.3-ounce, reduced fat, creamy peanut butter after the shavings were found during inspection.
Somehow, the peanut butter still made its way to Wal Mart, Publix and Target stores throughout Georgia, Virginia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Delaware and Arkansas.
There haven’t been any reports of injury, so don’t be the first. If you live in one of those states and bought Skippy with a December 14, 2016 expiration date, or a UPC code of 37600-10500, go get your money back.
