USPS Debuting First Ever Scratch-And-Sniff Stamps

It’s not very often that we get the U.S. Postal Service making food news, but it’s 2018 and anything can happen.

For the first time, ever, the USPS will have scratch-and-sniff stamps, and they will don the sweet smell of ice cream pops.

They’re officially called the Frozen Treats Forever stamps, and will officially release June 20. This is such a big deal, they’re even going to hold a ceremony for the stamps in Austin, Texas.

The photo illustrations of the ice cream are watercolor paintings by artist Margaret Berg, and the stamp’s scent is described as a “sweet summer scent.” Not sure what that means, but it must be something fruity, like Jennifer Lopez’s perfume.

As with other forever stamps, the $10 book will come with 20 stamps, so there’s no scratch-and-sniff upcharge, thankfully.

If you’re really into stamps, you can and can pre-order them right now on the USPS official site, or you can just wait for them to show up at the post office.
