Root Beer Float Cupcakes

One of my favorite childhood sodas till this day is root beer, hands down! The rich deep taste never fails to satisfy me, but when we have vanilla ice cream in our kitchen, regular root beer usually gets the FLOAT treatment. With my affinity for Root Beer, you can imagine my fluttering heart when I was introduced to these Root Beer Float Cupcakes.

What we’re looking at below are the bases of the floats. The Root Beer cupcakes consist of root beer, dark unsweetened cocoa powder, coconut crystals and all the basic necessities in a brownie mix:

The second layer in the assembly process is the Root Beer Frosting which is a blend of butter, root beer milk & sauce and powdered sugar. The third layer in the process is the actually Root Beer Ice Cream. Yes… They’re not using plain vanilla ice cream like we used to when we were kids, they are using root beer infused ice cream containing root beer milk, vanilla bean paste, eggs, sugar, heavy cream and salt! The final step in these Root Beer Float Cupcakes is the Beer Sauce, a sauce made out of root beer, corn starch and granulated sugar!

Talk about layering the flavors; four different root beer mixes combined into one drink! This Root Beer Float Cake is every root beer lover’s dream come true! If you want the recipe in its entirety, make sure to stop by the 52Sweets blog and scoop it up!  This is to die for!
