Robot Orders a Scone at Coffee Shop in Mountain View, CA

A robot was caught on camera a little over a week ago rolling into Red Rock Coffee Shop in Mountain View, CA. The robot, a product of Anybots (not ironically enough, a Mountain View based company), rolled in, ordered a scone, told the barista she could keep the change, and left as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened. The best part of the video comes at the expense of a diegetic, yet off-camera muttering of “This must be a Google thing“. If you’re looking for a robot to do your scone-shopping for you, $15,000 should do it.
