Roastie: Is This What The Future Holds For Our Toast?

ROASTIE, an unconventional toaster oven from the mind of industrial design graduate student Mateusz Główka. This unique invention houses your piece of bread in a transparent sphere. The dome allows for constant supervision of toasting bread, with curved heater arms that run around the toast within the sphere.

The unit’s heater arms are mirror finished, so the heat produced throughout the sphere concentrates in the middle. Główka also points out the control panel projected on the front side, which further prompts us with the inevitable question…

…is this something we need?
