Realistic R2D2 Cake is Almost Too Good Looking to Eat

Leave it to cake design firm Charm City Cakes to turn famed Star Wars character R2D2 into a cake so realistic that we almost don’t want to cut into it.

Charm City isn’t the first cake decorating group to make an R2D2 cake, but they definitely reiterate why they should be the last.  The silhouette is masterful, the coloring and shading is inspired, and the the detail is evident down to the protruding wires at the base and the vents and grooves throughout.

The cake was released earlier this month on May 4th, reminding all cake and Star Wars fans that the Fourth is with them…if you’re into that sort of reference.
