Realistic Jack-O-Lantern Cake
It’s Halloween, and if you’re looking to impress with a cake but don’t have the time to immediately become a professional confectioner, this pre-made Jack-O-Lantern cake will surely do the trick. This decadent dessert was created for Williams Sonoma by artisan baker Sam Godfrey. The cake feature six layers of devil’s food cake, alternating with five layers of chocolate truffle-caramel cream filling.
The outer components are cloaked in homemade orange fondant, the pumpkin comes complete with a handmade chocolate fondant stalk. Shipped frozen and sits 5.5″ in diameter and 5.5″ high, easily serving around 8-10 folks. ($99 @ Williams-Sonoma)
