Chipotle’s Starting To Charge A Lot Extra For Their Off-Menu Quesarito

One of Chipotle’s most popular off-menu items, the Quesarito, will officially cost an additional $3.50 on top of the original burrito price, according to Entrepreneur.

Chipotle’s Qeusarito has been a well-known, not-so-secret menu item for a while, but there was never a set price for it.

The cheesy burrito isn’t anything super crazy. It’s essentially just a quesadilla wrapped around a burrito.

Some Chipotle’s used to be jerks about it and charged for both a quesadilla and burrito, but it was generally just charged as a regular burrito, seeing how the only additional ingredients were a tortilla and cheese.

As evident by a Chipotle employee’s Tweet, the charge accounts for the “…extra time needed to make the Quesarito.”

In other words, it’s an inconvenience for the employees to make, so if we really want it that bad, we have to dig into our wallets.

Chipotle told Entrepreneur that they’re generally loose on the rules for off-menu items, but the Quesarito was being ordered so frequently, it had to be regulated.

So get ready to fork up some extra change for your Quesarito, and if you want guacamole, you might as well kiss your paychecks goodbye.
