Post Malone Is Behind This All Pink Raising Cane’s Location
Pop artist Post Malone is not only a musical mastermind, but a design one as well. Last week fast food chain Raising Cane’s unveiled a new all-pink location in Midvale, Utah. Surprisingly, the vibrant color decision came from Post Malone, who personally reached out to the brand’s CEO and founder Todd Graves.
According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Malone told fans, “I appreciate everybody waiting around in the cold and the snow.”
On the day of the reveal, hundreds of fans flanked the vibrant, pink establishment as Malone signed bodies, took selfies and gave out no shortage of high fives. Following a tour of the new location, he even returned for more fan interaction.
Malone happens to live nearby the location in Cottonwood Heights, and apparently loved Raising Cane’s chicken fingers so much he decided to formally request for a location to be built. During the opening, Graves recalled their conversation as he addressed the crowd, “Can you put a Raising Cane’s close to my house in Utah?”
In addition to the all-over pink paint, the restaurant features prints inspired by Malone’s signature tattoos, and even a close-up of his face. To ensure the Malone-touch is evident, several of his famous outfits are on display inside too. Soon his personal guitars will join the showcase.
To give fans the full Post Malone experience, the menu includes his go-to order as an option: four chicken tenders with fries, sauce, two slices of Texas toast and unsweetened tea mixed with lemonade. Midvale Mayor Marcus Stevenson is hoping the new location will attract new people to the small city. “Unique is the optimum word for what this is,” Stevenson told the Tribune.
The friendship between Malone and Graves grew from a mutual appreciation for music and chicken fingers. “I was a fan of his music, and he was a fan of my chicken fingers,” Graves shared. “We talked about life, we shotgunned some beers, and a friendship was born.”
