NY Restaurant Rolls Up Massive PIZZARITTOS Using A Whole Pizza As The ‘Tortilla’

It’s easy to find tons of burrito spinoffs with intricate ingredient twists across the country. There’s cotton candy exteriors, corn dogs on the inside, you name it. However, it’s pretty rare to come across a burrito whose shell is an ENTIRE pizza.

These “Pizzarittos” can be found at Russo’s House of Pizza, a joint roughly 30 miles outside of New York City in Orangetown’s Pearl River.

Each one is a massive carbo-load, with everything from pasta to garlic knots and even zeppole (Italian donuts) inside. Russo’s has three savory versions of their Pizzarittos, along with a dessert one.

Packed with chicken, meatballs, pepperoni, baked ziti, plenty of Parmesan, and mozzarella sticks, the O.G. was the first Pizzaritto Russo’s brought to life.

Soon afterward, the Drunken Pizzaritto arrived on the menu, filled with penne alla vodka, chicken, fried ravioli, Parmesan, and mozzarella sticks.

The newest addition to the pizza burrito lineup is the Ginzoritto. It’s filled with spaghetti, sausage, peppers, onions, and garlic knots.

If you somehow still have room after one of these, there’s the Desseritto. There’s no cheese or marinara here, but you do get treated to healthy handfuls of Nutella, bananas, Reese’s, and zeppoles.

When it comes to size, these Pizzarittos definitely bring it, as one barely fits into an entire pizza box. Some have even taken it on as a food “challenge,” but downing a whole pizza crammed with more carbs and meat is a pretty tough feat that few have conquered.

Should you find yourself starving and craving pizza in New York, though, one of these Pizzarittos is sure to satisfy your hunger and desire for ‘za in one shot.
