Pizza Hut Breaks Guinness World Record For World’s Largest Pizza

It’s only appropriate that Pizza Hut sets the new Guinness World Record for World’s Largest Pizza.

The monumentally delicious feat was set in Los Angeles, California, where the Los Angeles Convention Center was ground zero for the 13,990 square foot pepperoni pizza. This record was achieved in partnership with YouTube sensation, Airrack, to celebrate the return of Pizza Hut’s The Big New Yorker pizza.

To achieve the World’s Largest Pizza, Pizza Hut used The Big New Yorker recipe and amplified it to the tune of approximately 13,653 pounds of dough, 4,948 pounds of sweet marinara sauce, over 8,800 pounds of cheese and roughly 630,496 regular and cupped pepperoni.

The pizza was then fully assembled, topped and then baked in pieces on-site at the Los Angeles Convention Center. After the Guinness World Record was certified, the World’s Largest Pizza was then donated to local area charities and food banks.
