Here Is The Pizza Stuffed Churro The Internet Is Raging About

A while back, a stranger walked into our office with a box of churros and a shit-eating grin on his face. That man was Nick Fasone. Through the years, he has created some pretty innovative dishes in his test kitchen. You may remember a while back he made a burrito wrapped entirely in a tortilla made of cheese, and more recently, a poop emoji churro.

The dude has since been branching into more churro-themed creations, under the name The Naughty Churro, and this Pizza Churro he just made is a fine testament to that.

We asked him what inspired such a bold creation, and here’s what he had to say:

People love churros. People love pizza. I just thought it was as natural a combination as lamb and tuna fish.

Fasone starts off by creating a churro base right in the fryer and begins stacking cheese and pepperoni inside of it. He then pipes the rest of the churro batter upon it until the ingredients are sealed in and ready for the deep fryer.

What emerges from the scalding liquid of rebirth is a beautiful churro/calzone half-breed oozing with cheese and pepperoni.

You can find the Naughty Churro at Oozefest’s Market Place the weekend of October 15-16. The Market Place costs $5 to get in and is buy-as-you-go. If you’re feeling pretty bold, you can also get VIP tickets that offer all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink.
