How To Make Peanut Butter Mug Cake With Peanut Butter Reddi-wip Topping

Since the tender year of 1903, peanut butter has played a part in the happiness of countless human beings. PB&J Sandwiches on the playground, your favorite dog video on the Internet—PB’s been here for it all. So, why not celebrate those 100+ years of peanut butter-driven happiness by welcoming another way to conveniently consume it? That’s what we do best here.

Butcher/baker/pizza-rap maker Josh Elkin thinks you should party with his Peanut Butter Mug Cake. Better yet: Peanut Butter Mug Cake with Peanut Butter Reddi-wip Topping (because the butter, the better). And better-butter yet: a Peanut Butter Mug Cake with Peanut Butter Reddi-wip topping that you can make at home.

He created the recipe as part of ConAgra’s #GreatAmericanCookIn Challenge, a month-long campaign challenging people to stay in and cook for one week rather than opting to go out. Quick, easy, and ready in a matter of minutes, take our word—this straightforward, straight delicious microwave mug cake is a literal cakewalk, and more than enough to convince you to take a raincheck on that spontaneous trip to the bakery. Enjoy:

Pledge to participate in the challenge to cook in for one week in May by using the #GreatAmericanCookIn hashtag, and share food photos on Twitter and Instagram.

4 tbsp of Peanut Pan Simply Ground Peanut Butter

1 can Reddi-wip Extra Creamy whipped topping

4 tbsp of all-purpose flour

1 tsp of vanilla extract

3)   Microwave the mug for about one minute (depending on your microwave).

4)   Let the mug cool completely.

5)   Using a small microwaveable bowl, melt the last tablespoon of peanut butter in the microwave until it becomes thin.

6)   Add the Reddi-wip to the top of the mug cake and drizzle the peanut butter glaze.
