I’m pretty sure I’ve dreamt about the concept of a breakfast pasta before. The thought of diving into my day with a bowl of noodles that somehow capture that first meal essence via some bacon and eggs really felt ideal.

A TikTok video from @brianaarchuleta recently went viral and made my breakfast pasta dreams a reality. As seen in the clip above, her husband created a recipe for “squiggle cakes,” which essentially are breakfast “noodles” made from thin strips of pancake batter. The result is a bowl of breakfast that unlocks so much possibilities.

From the video, we see sweet applications on the pancake spaghetti: a flocking of powdered sugar here, generous pours of maple syrup there. But imagine creating some savory sauces to go with the “squiggle cakes” accompanied by crumbles of sausage, crispy pieces of bacon and topped with a perfect sunny side up egg.

Yes. You see the vision.

Soon after the success of the initial “squiggle cakes” video, Archuleta followed it up with another video that shows her husband and creator of the recipe, Steven Archuleta, giving us all a tutorial on how to make them.

Excuse me as I cut this article off right here so I can go ahead and make my own “squiggle cakes.”
