Panasonic Unveils New Countertop Induction Oven, And It’s Pretty Perfect
Using the oven can be a daunting and challenging thing, especially for people who never use them because they always eat out since their mother’s cooking tastes like boiled shoes despite the fact that you bought her Cooking For Dummies, which she obnoxiously insists she doesn’t need.
Well, Panasonic has just unveiled their newest innovative kitchen technology that we will soon be able to wield as a weapon against every bad cook out there, MOM.
The new countertop induction oven packs all the technology and convenience of a fully functional oven into any nook or cranny in your kitchen that you can find. This pioneering appliance will require little to no pre-heating, has an easy-to-use interface for anyone not familiar with cooking, takes away from the traditional dangers of burners and will be very energy efficient.
For those who don’t know, induction heating uses electromagnetism to heat your food. This process causes the pan or tray to channel heat throughout it, making it a virtual cooker within an oven, rather than heating the food up through the outside going in. The lack of any gas or thermal igniters also makes it safer to use and more energy efficient.
With its sleek design and easy-to-use interface, this new miniature oven will be a clutch investment for people living in small apartments, or a place where ripping the conventional oven out of the wall might prove to be a bit difficult. Unfortunately, the countertop oven won’t be available until October of 2016.
Until then, it’s back to microwaving my cup of noodles. Unless, of course, a certain mother of mine whose name shall not be spoken decides to get her shit together in the kitchen.
