Here’s How You Can Use FIRE To Make This RED-HOT Cocktail
Behold the “Oracle,” an original cocktail inspired by the bubblific Oracle potion in Bubble Witch 2 Saga. This hot pot burns as passionate and crimson red as flame itself!
What gives the drink its edge is its spicy mix of gin, Campari, pomegranate liqueur, lemon juice, and egg white. What gives the drink its spark is using actual fire! In this recipe, the Oracle harnesses the power of fire to whip up one epic, energetic potion that’s sure to get you fired up too.
Embrace this playful element to create drinks with fiery flair—safely—with the following instruction. Note that when it comes to preheating the glass or spirit, this technique should only be used for lower proofs, since you run the risk of shattering your glass.
Oracle
.5oz Gin
1oz Campari
.5oz Pomegranate liqueur
Stagg Jr Bourbon Whiskey
.5oz Lemon Juice
1 Egg White
1oz IPA reverse dry whipped into egg white and double strained for a red “cotton candy-like” head
Orange peel
Raw sugar, to garnish rim
Equipment
Coupe glass
Shaker tin
Double strainer
Hawthorne strainer
Lighter
Fire extinguisher, for safety
1) Combine all drink ingredients in a shaker minus the whiskey, orange, sugar garnish, and fire—that comes in a second.
2) Make sure you have everything you need in reach before you put ice in the shaker, including the double strainer, Hawthorne, lighter, fire extinguisher. This is for time—the glass WILL break if you let it burn too long.
3) Add ice and whiskey to your glass, then light it up. Place the orange peel on the rim of the glass to get it nice and toasty. Shake up the tin and set your Hawthorne next to your double strainer ready to go.
4) Grab the orange peel and express its oil right over the flame, dropping it in the glass as it flairs up. Immediately grab the shaker and double strain over the flame to douse it out.
