Someone Just Loaded Noodles Into A Jumbo Stuffed Crab Claw And We’re Shook

noodle stuffed crab claw

Ever heard of Yeung Hai Kim? This dim sum item consists of a soft-shell crab claw stuffed inside a deep-fried ball of ground shrimp and spices. It’s easily one of the more mouthwatering items in a dim sum spread on its own, but one restaurant is upping the ante by creating a MASSIVE noodle stuffed crab claw. (Seriously, this thing is as big as a softball.)

Modern Asian restaurant Clever Leaf is making the item exclusively for Foodbeast’s Asian food festival, NOODS NOODS NOODS presented by Original Cup Noodles on January 27th in Santa Ana, CA. Their rendition on this dim sum classic features garlicky noodles made with a savory lobster sauce. Those noodles are then crammed inside of a shrimp patty, which gets the typical soft shell crab claw stabbed into the outside. The entire item then takes a trip to the deep fryer where it’s cooked to a perfect golden brown.

What makes the noodle stuffed crab claw even more exciting is the fact that it’s technically portable. You can hold it by the crab claw and munch your away around the rest of the festival, showing off your epic dim sum twist to the world. Just be careful not to get pinched.

Those hoping to score one of these massive claws should pick up some VIP tickets to NOODS NOODS NOODS, as Clever Leaf’s innovative item will only be available in one of the two all-you-can-consume sessions going on during the festival. There’s also tickets to the Marketplace for those looking to just buy a couple of items to nosh on.
