Michaël Harboun Envisions the "Living Kitchen" of the Future

Borderline creepy, undeniably “futuristic” and richly innovative. Through the use of Claytronics technology, Michaël Harboun has envisioned a kitchen that utilizes the aforementioned technology which consists of nanoscale self-organizing robots, when working together will create a shape-shifting mass of matter that fits your every kitchen need. What does this mean for the kitchen? Basically starting with a blank slate for a room, the technology will come from the wall, the ground, wherever and formulate whatever tools you need in order to complete your kitchen tasks, faucets will emerge from the walls, your sink will turn into your pasta-strainer and minutes later will morph into your cutting board. The scary thing about this is, the Claytronics technology is not that far-fetched, currently being researched by some crazy heads over at Carnegie Mellon University. This project is called “Living Kitchen“. What are your thoughts on this project ever coming to fruition?
