McNuggets And Fries For Breakfast Is Finally Happening At McDonald’s Australia Locations
Why does McDonald’s have an all-day breakfast menu, but not vice versa?
That’s a question that’s rattled my brain ever since Mickey D’s made eggs available past 10:30 am. I’m super down to get Sausage McGriddles alongside my McChickens, but it would be tight to get that to start the day as well as on my way home. I get that the two menus differ from each other to the point where running both concurrently is hard, but a few fan favorites in the morning isn’t too much to ask for, right?
McDonald’s Australia apparently agrees with me on that front, as they’ve begun exploring the possibility of adding fries, McNuggets, and more to their breakfast offerings. Mashable reports that the initiative is a test currently running in Victoria and Tasmania. Locations there will have McNuggets, fries, Big Macs, cheeseburgers, and the Quarter Pounder available prior to the 10:30 am menu change. If the test is successful, it will spread to the rest of the country.
Having these all-day regular items should be something that McDonald’s USA should consider, too. It’s not like it’s unprecedented to offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner all at once, especially for drive-thrus. Jack in the Box and Sonic already do this. If the Golden Arches can fit in a small, limited number of classics to the morning menu, it would definitely be groundbreaking for them.
That, and I kinda just want a way to get spicy chicken McGriddles at 7 in the morning.
