McDonald’s Testing Seasoned McNuggets So You Can Make a McMess

This isn’t the first time McDonald’s has tested out DIY seasoning, but hopefully it leads to something real and isn’t just a tease.

Just last year, McDonald’s tested DIY seasoned fries in Stockton, CA, and customers could choose from Garlic Parmesan, Zesty Ranch and Chipotle BBQ seasonings.

According to Burger Business, those same seasonings are now available in Northern Nevada, but customers can shake up McDonald’s famous Chicken McNuggets along with the fries.

When they tested the fries in California, the McDonald’s bags had five-step instructions printed on them, probably three steps too many, but I guess they needed to use the bag space. You poured the fries in the bag, sprinkled the seasoning, closed the bag, shook it and “enjoyed ’em.”

Burger King tried something similar in 2002 with their “Shake ’em Up Fries,” but apparently the world wasn’t ready for this concept.

No word on how long the testing will take place, but hopefully this brings us one step closer to seasoned McCurly Fries.
