McDonald’s Gets Its Own TV Channel

…at least in California. Don’t bother asking your local cable provider about bringing it to your livingroom TV because this channel is exclusively coming to the Hi-Def screens of 800 California restaurants.

The TV channel will mostly be tuned into various sporting events as well as proprietary programming including “The McDonald’s Achievers,” “Mighty Moms,” and VIMBY [Videos In My Back Yard]. The channel will also feature McDonald’s-exclusive content.

Looking to watch your favorite sitcom on McDonald’s TV? Don’t hold your breath… Unless you’re a Beluga Whale… Even then you won’t be seeing any traditional TV programming initially. McDonald’s has, however, is partnered with ABC and BBC so it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to speculate that we might see some of their content featured at some point on the McDonald’s Channel.
