McDonald’s Announces New Meal With A ‘Loki’ Sauce

On Monday, August 7, 2023, McDonald’s dropped a teaser on X and captioned it, “no spoilers.” Well they sure didn’t given any spoilers. One thing for sure is that every single Hollywood clip that was included showed that McDonald’s is an iconic fast food restaurant that lands mentions in movie storylines through decades.

Of course with the internet world we have today, we don’t know how to handle a teaser, and it took less than 24 hours for someone to crack the code. Leave it to the community of TikTok to uncover that the surprise McDonald’s held onto was the launch of a new Sweet N’ Sour Sauce.

Luckily for McDonald’s they announced the new meal and sauce this morning in a press release. So, what is the hype over this new offering?

McDonald’s new meal is dubbed the “As Featured In Meal.” According to the brand, the meal is a collection of fan-favorite menu items that have made iconic appearances throughout film, television, and music.

And what does that mean exactly?

For a limited time, fans can order a medium soft drink, medium order of fries, and your choice of either a 10-piece Chicken McNuggetsQuarter Pounder with Cheese or Big Mac Sandwich along with the newly-branded Sweet ‘N Sour Sauce – inspired by Marvel Studios’ “Loki” Season 2, streaming October 6 on Disney+.

Starting August 14, the meal will be available in more than 100 countries across the globe and will co-star exclusive merch and never-before-seen content.

Now, was that really all the hype? Um yes, because we can’t handle teasers and America loves McDonald’s.
