Ludacris Drinks Glacial Water In Alaska, Internet Hilariously Roasts Him For It

Rappers are no strangers to extravagant lifestyles, but Ludacris just took things up a notch. In a new video posted on social media, the hip hop legend is seen in Alaska, casually standing on a glacier like it’s just another day. Naturally, my first thought was, ‘Is he shooting the next never-ending Fast & Furious sequel, or did he just decide to one-up everyone’s vacation photos?’

The video kicks off with zero context—just Ludacris in a varsity jacket (in Alaska, no less), rocking fresh cornrows, and what appears to be Jordans on his feet. The contrast between his outfit and the Alaskan backdrop is so wild, it almost looks like he’s standing in front of a greenscreen. I mean, shouldn’t he be freezing?

Luda kicks the video off with a random nature fact, “Listen man, half the world’s glaciers are here in Alaska.” Then reveals how he wound up in the freezing temperatures of The Last Frontier. “…and I couldn’t come here and just have a show. You know I gotta bucket list, or as I like to call it, the fuck-it-list. I’ve never tasted fresh glacial water, ever in my life.” He then casually scoops some into his tumbler and takes a sip.

The comments section didn’t waste time cooking Luda and the reactions are easily some of the funniest of the year. One guy tweeted, “Bro is in Alaska dressed like he’s in Atlanta,” receiving nearly 10k likes. That was light compared to most other comments, which poked fun at the idea of casually drinking glacial water as if it isn’t potentially contaminated. “Ancient bacteria, stubborn viruses, atmospheric dust, heavy metals, and even traces of animal feces,” another person replied, sharing a screenshot of a headline that read, “Why you should never drink water from a glacier.”

It didn’t stop there either, with one guy warnning of a potential zombie apocalypse scenario, “This is how pandemic movies usually starts with a character doing something very similar to this.” Others shared photos from Luda’s iconic “Stand Up” music video where he donned massive Popeye-esque forearms, saying things like, “How Luda gonna look in the next 72 hours,” and “Bout to look like this permanently.” And the funniest comment is just outright, er…ludicrous. “Nigga about to catch Mammoth AIDS.” Something that probably crossed a lot of people’s minds.

Ludacris later responds to the reactions, “For everybody asking me how that glacier water really tastes, when I tell ya’ll I am a water snob. It was thee best tasting water that I’ve ever had in my life. As I drank it I felt that every cell in my body was being hydrated and rejuvenated at the same damn time.” He apparently had an awesome show after and feels like Superman. Potential superpowers aside, if you ever find yourself in Alaska, don’t be like Luda.
