Apparently Kylie Jenner Isn’t Allowed To Cook Soul Food

The Kardashian family gets judged for everything they do, and it comes with the territory of being celebrities who let the public have an intimate look into their personal lives.

Kylie Jenner, the youngest sister in the high-profile family, is not afraid to show her everyday happenings through Snapchat, and did so when she cooked dinner for her boyfriend, rapper Tyga.

The Snapchat videos show the bbq chicken, macaroni & cheese, ribs, and candied yams Kylie prepared.

Peep the videos below:

She was seemingly trying to do something sweet for her boo, as in any relationship, cooking is seen as a cute gesture. People on social media were not impressed, though, generally feeling that Kylie had no business cooking “soul food.”

I understand the belief that certain cultures make their own dishes best, but it doesn’t mean others can’t attempt it. I live in California, and some of the best food, from Chinese, to soul, is often made my Mexicans. Hell, last time I went to Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles in Los Angeles, a staple of soul food in the city, I saw that Mexicans were the ones in the back cooking up the chicken, so don’t tell me Kylie can’t try her hand at soul food because she’s not black.

Thankfully she got a little support out there:

At least Tyga did the decent thing, sounding appreciative of Kylie’s efforts. No hate here. Big ups for doing something thoughtful for your boyfriend.
