Kraft Foods to Launch 70 New Products in 2012
Ready to graduate from your daily Easy Mac, Lunchables and Capri Sun diet? Kraft Foods, the brand behind dozens of your favorite supermarket food items, is updating their line-up by launching more than 70 brand new products in 2012.
Kraft’s newest products for next year will have you covered from breakfast to dinner. The creation of these products are a result of consumers who are looking for easy meal solutions with new flavor combinations. Barry Calpino, Vice President of Kraft Foods states, “Americans are having more interactive experiences with food and want the opportunity to do some of the cooking themselves. With global influence and the merging of different cultures, consumers are open to new flavor combinations. Being able to customize the flavor and texture to enhance the end dish is important and Kraft Foods is delivering.”
The result? Kraft is offering convenient dinner kits, such as their Kraft Fresh Take, Kraft Sizzling Salads Dinner Kit, and Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Dinner Kit. Each kit features a unique flavor combination and allows consumers to add their own chicken, pork or fish and finish creating their meals in less than 20 minutes.
Breakfast and lunch items are also expected to feature more “better-for-you” options. belVita Breakfast Biscuits, Kraft Milkbite Milk and Granola Bars and Philadelphia Cooking Creme will provide consumers with more health-conscious options for breakfast on-the-go, or at home. The biscuits (which are a European favorite) are baked with whole grains, while the granola bars are said to deliver an 8-oz glass of milk’s worth of calcium.
Be on the lookout for more varieties of Lunchables next year, such as a Ham & American Cheese Flatbread Sandwich with applesauce, Turkey & Cheddar Flatbread Sandwich with applesauce, and BBQ Chicken Dippers with pineapples. Lunchtime and snack items from Kraft also include SnackWell’s Cinnamon Creme Drizzles Caramel Popcorn, Peanut Butter Flavored Pretzels, Planters Natural Creamy Peanut Butter Spread and Stride Spark Kinetic Berry Sugar Free Gum.
Is that Capri Sun in your pocket not keeping you energized throughout the day? Kraft is also introducing Crystal Light Energy Powdered Drink Mix in Citrus, Grape, and Peach Mango flavors to keep you alert throughout your day.
To finally top things off, Kraft will also offer Gevalia Kaffe Coffee, Philadelphia Indulgence Spreads and Toblerone Tobelle for consumers who want to indulge themselves in a land of rich, bold world of flavor and decadence. The unique chocolate spread shares the creamy texture of Philadelphia Cream Cheese, while the rich taste of Gevalia was only previously available as a delivery-only item.
From breakfast to dinner, with snacks, drinks and dessert all mixed in-between, it looks like Kraft Foods will have a good year when 2012 rolls around. With more than 70 new products waiting to hit the shelves, Kraft’s got all of your bases covered.
