Watch Kids Try Greek Vegetable Dishes For The Very First Time

Think your kid might be a good candidate for the Mediterranean diet? You may want to watch this video to see what to start them on first.

The REACT YouTube channel recently uploaded a video in which they got a few different children to try a variety of traditional Greek dishes made with various vegetables. The offerings included papoutsakia (stuffed eggplants), dolmathes (grape leaves rolled around rice and ground meat), téftla (beets) served in a Greek salad, and fakes (lentil) soup. The kids were shown the aforementioned cooked dishes alongside raw versions of the original veggie used to make them.

Each child also gave their critique of each dish as they tasted it, revealing whether they absolutely hated a dish or loved it. At the end of the tasting, each selected one of the four dishes they’d recommend others to try. Surprisingly, one dish stood head and shoulders above the rest in terms of which one the kids liked, and it’s not the one you’d expect it to be.

I’ll leave you to the video to discover what their preference was, but it may very well be the new way to get kids to eat a certain vegetable.
