Watch Kids Try Dumplings From All Around The World

kids try dumplings

Dumplings are a rather ubiquitous name for foods enclosed in a skin of dough. From pierogis to xiao long bao, you can find versions of these foods all around the world. Having kids try dumplings, therefore, allows one to utilize a familiar staple as a starting point to try foods from different cultures.

That’s what YouTube channel HiHo Kids accomplishes in the above video. Their team brings in four children to try a quartet of dumplings, each representing a unique cuisine. The kids sample and give their take on Japanese gyoza, Polish pierogi (or Ukrainian varenyky), Brazilian coxinhas, and Chinese xiao long bao.

Overall, the group did enjoy trying each dumpling variation, reaffirming the dishs’ status as a gateway to flavors from around the world. Perhaps this video will inspire you to have your kid try different cuisines through the humble, yet delicious, dumpling.
