KFC: Google Street View Blurs Colonel Sanders' Face

Ever since the launch of Google Street View, their added feature to Google Maps that enables 360 degree rotation of a camera at many major (and non major) street corners, has always raised a little fuss-n-buss with people discussing privacy issues. In terms of the world famous image of KFC’s head honcho, Colonel Sanders, his mug shot of a logo is blurred out in all street views in the UK. His white hair, beard, suit and glasses are all covered with a fancy blur, all 760 UK stores worth! Google Street View has implemented this face-recognition-blurring technology to help protect privacy when they collect their visual data. Considering the image of Colonel Sanders, whether the logo or not, is an actual image of a real person, the system has picked up on his face-features and blurred him out. (Thx Telegraph)
